Nature Scientific Divinities

Nature is a scientific divinity and this ethos has been understood and imbibed by the people of this glorious land of Bharath through the ages.
On what basis do we make this statement?
This earth that we live in is called Bhoolokaand we venerate her as the divine mother Bhudevi. The waters, the mountains are all venerated. The sky, the planets, the stars and even Hiranyagarbha, the golden wombed primordial cosmic eggis also venerated.
The Vedic texts, which are the oldest literature of the world were created with an interaction between the Vedic seers and Nature.

A number of Veda Samhita is dedicated to different functional aspects of Nature.
Each of these Deva was attributes of one of these aspects of Nature.

Nature and its attributes were prevalent then,
are prevalent now
and will prevail in the future also.

TheseDeva are attributes of Nature, are prevalent all over this universe and they are truly the Scientific Divinities of Nature.
The Scientific Divinities of Nature start from Narayana who resides in the Hiranya Garbha from whom emanate the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Siva and collectively from whom emanate the otherDevanamely,

  1. Indra
  2. Vasu
  3. Apah
  4. Rudra
  5. Agni
  6. Surya
  7. Chandra
  8. Vayu

Maruts.

Do we have the right to interpret the Deva as Nature Scientific Divinities?
The Vedic texts, the Purana and the later commentators have all in their own way have looked at each of the Deva primarily as Nature and its functional aspect.
The world as it is coming to a knowledge era, is now looking at understanding Nature and are scientifically realizing that Nature is the real sustainer of life and that we have to respect it, regard it, nurture it and venerate it to keep civilization on for aeons to come.

It is this understanding that we bring out from a traditional perspective to a modern outlook in this subject capsule of Nature Scientific Divinity.
