Dr. D.K.Hari and Dr. D.K.Hema Hari of Bharath Gyan will be once again conducting one of their courses in their popular course - Exploring Bharatam series under the aegis of the Hindu University of America (HUA).

This course is open to all, across the globe.

Coming in this series of courses, this course, titled “Exploring Bharata Geography and History”, will prepare the explorer to trace the geographical location and extent of the roots of the Hindus and also the timeline of this civilization.

This course will also throw light on significant events that changed the course of their civilization as well as the course of its narrative. It will help see the Geography and the History of the Bharata Civilization from a Bharata perspective and experience how different this narrative is.

WHO CAN REGISTER FOR THE COURSE?:
This course is part of a Certificate Program of the University and 12 credits will be awarded on successful completion of the program. Click here to know more about the Credits and the 8 quarters / 2 year Certificate Program in Bharata Civilizational Studies of which this course is a part.

It can also be taken as a standalone course, in which case, participants will get a Course Completion document with course grade at the end of this course.

Being a credit course, this course can be taken by students to satisfy their academic goals.

For those in active professions, this course will open their minds to a larger perspective of how this civilizational thought had successfully straddled and blended Science, Spirituality, Philosophy, Religion, Industry, Economics, Management, Art and Culture into Family, Professional and Social Life.

It can also be taken by both teenagers, parents and grand parents, together or separately with an intent to stimulate meaningful conversation about Bharata Civilization between teenagers and their parents.

This series of courses is designed to take discussion and contemplation from beyond the course window, into the portals of home, family and society.

COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
In this course, students will

  1. Discover the geographical extent of the Bharata Civilization
  2. Learn about the civilizations it had connects with and how?
  3. Realize the advantages that this geography endowed on the Bharata Civilization
  4. Learn of its influence on the civilization and its history
  5. Learn of the various methods by which the Bharata Civilization kept its records that tells us about the history of this civilization today
  6. Uncover the antiquity of this civilization
  7. Gain insight into the singular features of both the geography and history of this civilization which make the people of this civilization, one of the oldest yet youngest and relevant people for the present world.

COURSE DESIGN AND CLASS STRUCTURE

The Course has been designed as 10 online sessions of 100 minutes each that go to build up the picture successively.

Course will be covered with 1 online session per week.
