Sri R Mathrubutham is a retired, senior Government officer from the Indian Statistical Service, who completed his education from Vivekananda College, Mylapore in the subject of Mathematics, Post Graduation in Economics from Punjab University and Bachelor of Law from Law Academy, Kerala University, Trivandram.
He has worked in various capacities and in administrative and supervisor roles in the Finance Ministry of the Indian Government. He comes with a rich experience in Planning, Policy Formulation, Project Reports Evolution and Budgetary allocation and Fiscal control.
Post retirement in 1992, he has been associated with Hindu Mission Hospital in honorary capacity as Chief Administrator since 1994 and later as part of the management board.
Besides Bharath Gyan, he is also a Trustee of Gayathri Trust, a community based service organization in Chennai, that conducts free and dignified last rites for the orphaned and the unidentified dead.
